BET nominee Diamond Platnumz has hinted that he will be in Ghana before the year ends. Platnumz told Sammy Forson on Route919 Friday afternoon, he has plans of visiting the West African country.
“I have intentions of coming to Ghana to do some works but hopefully it will be before the year ends.”
He also spoke about the possibility of wining the ‘Best International Act: Africa’ award. “I hope to win but then I think all nominated in that category is a winner so I guess whoever wins will make Africa Proud. At the end of the day, it is Africa we are projecting.”
Naseeb Abdul Juma popularly known by his stage name Diamond Platnumz, is a Bongo Flava recording artist and singer from Tanzania.
He is best known for his hit song “Number One”. Diamond has won numerous awards at Channel O and the HiPipo Music Awards.
He performed at the Big Brother Africa 7 eviction show in May 2012. Diamond is considered influential among his fans, and is said to be the most loved and decorated Tanzanian artist at the moment.
He was believed to be the highest selling Tanzanian artist of ringtones by mobile phone companies in 2013, as well as being among the artists earning the highest income in the African Great Lakes region’s music industry.
